This document is intended for better understanding of the sequence of work activities to be done at site and does not replace the contractual specifications for installation of the junction box at the construction project.
Ensure that all the PPE are available with the crew involved in the job.
All required equipment and tools should be checked before starting of the activity for suitability and integrity.
Ensure that housekeeping being carried out after and before the job starts for electrical junction box on daily basis.

Roles & Responsibilities
QA / QC Engineer
The Contractor/Sub-contractor’s QA/QC engineer shall be responsible for the following:
a) Ensure that the approved method and materials to be used are in conformance with the project specifications.
b) Organize inspections and surveillance in accordance with ITPs and ensure that the quality of work will be in accordance with the project specifications
Site Engineer
The Contractor/sub-contractor’s Site Engineer shall be responsible for the overall safe execution of the complete activities at site including, but not limited to:
a) Confirming the Installation locations from schedule of approved construction drawings.
b) Organizing tools and equipment required to be used at the work site.
c) Assigning work crew.
d) Plan, Monitor and advice about the activities to be carried out at site as per this electrical method statement & ITP
Electrical Supervisor
The Contractor/sub-contractor’s Supervisor shall be responsible for the safe execution of the following activities:
a) Prepare and obtain working permits.
b) Organize and perform a pre-job safety toolbox meeting to be held prior to commencing of the work each day.
c) Selecting and assigning competent work crew. The details of the activity shall be communicated to the work crew.
d) Organizing tools and equipment required for the work site.
Safety Officer
The Contractor/sub-contractor’s Safety shall be responsible for safe condition of the following activities:
a) Ensuring work activity have valid permits and monitor the condition of the work area and workers executing the work safely.
b) Ensuring all worker has participated with the tool box meeting prior start of work.
c) Ensuring all equipment has passed inspection and safe to use prior to the start work.
d) Ensuring all the worker are wearing proper PPE during the execution of work activities.

Preparation of Work
Prepare valid work permit
Ensure that Approved For Construction drawing are available
Ensure pre-cast foundation for stanchion is available if needed.
Materials & manpower are all prepared
Installation of Stanchion Support
Determine the location (Ensure that the location is accessible and free from obstruction).
Excavate the location of the stanchion foundation down to the designed elevation. Levelling and compaction must applied before install the pre-cast foundation.
Pre-install the stanchion in to the pre-cast foundation before installation.
Install the pre-cast foundation together with the stanchion into the excavation, levelling and check the designed elevation and alignment before backfilling and compaction.
Installation of Instrument Junction Box in the Stanchion Support
Fix the instrument junction box using the four bolt in each corner.
Check the designed elevation, correct orientation and alignment before final tightening.
Installation of Instrument Junction Box in the Concrete Wall
Cut a C-channel or Unistrut channel according to the size of instrument junction box, Use the box fixing hole as template to drill a hole in the C channel or Unistrut channel.
Install the C-channel or Unistrut channel into the wall using anchor bolt. Check the designed elevation and alignment.
Fix the instrument junction box using the four bolt in each corner, check the designed elevation, correct orientation and alignment before final tightening.
Installation of Instrument Junction Box in the Steel Beam
Cut a C-channel or Unistrut channel according to the size of the instrument junction box, use the box fixing hole as template to make a hole on the C channel or unistrut channel.
Install the C-channel or unistrut channel into the steel beam using welding.
Check the designed elevation and alignment.
Fix the instrument junction box using the four bolt in each corner, check the designed elevation, correct orientation and alignment before final tightening.
Apply touch up paint in the cutting edges and welded portion of the support using zinc rich galvanized paint.
After completion each of work installation and inspection, the document should be compiled in instrument completion document dossier.
Making sure that document compilation have been completed and completed signed off by the dedicated person from the Contractor/Sub-contractor to Owner’s Engineer who approves the electrical work.
